Patent AT-E399682-T1: [Translated] REAR EXTENSION FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A rear-end extension for a motor vehicle, which can be fixed to a rear end cutout on the body of a vehicle with the aid of detachable fixing means is known per se. According to the invention, a dimensionally stable rear-end module is provided, the end contour thereof being adapted to a peripheral edge of the cut out of the body of the vehicle in such a way that the rear-end module can be joined to the rear-end cutout of the body of the vehicle in a peripherally flush manner. The fixing means are adapted to the fixing points, on the vehicle body, of at least one vehicle-body rear-end part provided for closing the cutout of the vehicle body such that the rear-end module can be detachably fixed to the rear-end cutout on the body of the vehicle using fixing points for the vehicle-body rear-end part when the vehicle-body rear-end part is in a remote position. The invention can be used for passenger cars having a steeply inclined rear end.
