Patent AT-E400255-T1: [Translated] COMPOSITION OR KIT OF PELLETS FOR PREPARING CHINESE MEDICINAL TEAS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING
Pellets (A) comprise an extract of a starting material (of vegetable, animal or mineral origin) for Chinese medicinal tea (CMT), contained in a matrix including hydrophilic macromolecules as structure-former (SF). Independent claims are included for: (1) An 'instant' CMT preparation comprising the pellets (A) in lyophilized form; (2) Assemblies or kits of pellets (A) comprising the same type of matrices containing at least two (preferably at least four) different extracts; (3) A method for producing CMT, by separately boiling individual CMT starting materials, treating the obtained decoctions with SFs, forming pellets, lyophilizing and dissolving different types of pellets in water; and (4) Production of CMTs in instant form, by forming a decoction from a CMT starting material, dissolving and/or dispersing SF in the decoction (preferably after removal of solids, especially by filtration), freezing the mixture by dropwise addition to very cold cryogenic fluid and lyophilizing the obtained pellets; and (5) Instant CMT's obtained by the method.
