A bicycle rim (1) made of composite material based on structural fibres incorporated in a polymeric material is described, characterised in that it comprises at least one circumferential reinforcement element (16, 16a) based on unidirectional structural fibres extending at a respective intersection of walls of the rim, the direction of the structural fibre being circumferential. A method for making such a bicycle rim is also described.
