Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Metadata Last Checked: September 07, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-09-06
The invention relates to a sleeper frame for a ballasted railway track, comprising two transverse sleepers (1) and two longitudinal supports, running under the tracks, whereby each longitudinal support unit comprises at least two diagonal bars (2) arranged in a truss-like manner, lying one over the other in at least two horizontal planes, crossing in the middle between the transverse sleepers (1) and arranged symmetrically about the rail axis. Bar elements (3) are provided as diagonal bars (2) in the form of reinforcement rods or steel bar profiles, anchored in tubular openings (4) in the transverse sleepers (1) with injection mortar (6). The invention further relates to a production method, whereby firstly transverse sleepers (1) of any type are produced in conventional production equipment, then provided with rod elements (3) and further components on an assembly platform (8) and the assembly platform (8) is then tipped through at least 45 DEG and the rod elements (3) pressed in in this position.
