Patent AT-E401377-T1: [Translated] HYBRID TOP COATS

Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Metadata Last Checked: September 07, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-09-06
Hybrid composition (I) comprises an inorganic binder (A) based on poly functional organosilane; (semi) metal alkoxides (B) or their hydrolysis- and condensation products; inorganic UV-absorber (C) such as particles of zinc oxide or cerium dioxide; organic polyol (D) with a hydroxyl functionality of greater than or equal to 2 and an average molecular weight of 250-10000 g/mol; and one or more solvents (E). Hybrid composition (I) comprises an inorganic binders (A) based on poly functional organosilane, which contain at least 2 silicon atoms with 1-3 alkoxy or hydroxy groups (where the silicon toms at bounded with at least a Si-C-bonding at a building unit linking the silicon unit); (semi) metal alkoxides (B) and their hydrolysis- and condensation products; inorganic UV-absorber (C) such as particles of zinc oxide or cerium dioxide in the form of particles, which exhibit at least 90% of an average particle diameter of less than or equal to 50 nm, measured by means of ultra centrifuge; organic polyol (D) with a hydroxyl functionality of greater than or equal to 2 and an average molecular weight of 250-10000 g/mol; and one or more solvents (E). Independent claims are also included for: (1) the preparation of (I); (2) a coating agent containing (I) and reactive cross-linker related to hydroxyl groups; and (3) a substrate coated with coatings, which is obtained using (I).
