Command device (10) for the delivery of steam in an iron (12). The command device (10) comprises an electric switch (15) arranged in the handle (13), connected to a delivery circuit of the steam (12) in the iron (11), and actuation elements (17, 18) arranged in correspondence with the front part of the handle (13) and connected to the electric switch (15) in order to activate the delivery of the steam (12). The actuation elements (17, 18) are shaped so as to at least partly surround the front part of the handle (13) and can be actuated both frontally and laterally, and also from above with respect to the handle (13) in order to cause the actuation of the electric switch (15).
