Patent AT-E401476-T1: [Translated] METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONNECTING SCREED AREAS SEPARATED FROM EACH OTHER BY A JOINT

Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Metadata Last Checked: September 07, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-09-06
The invention relates to a method and to a device for linking screed areas that are separated by a joint. The aim of the invention is to interlink screed zones (2, 3) that are separated by a joint (4) and to anchor them in the floor (20), either during application of the screed or when the screed has already been applied. To this end, two aligned incisions (25, 26) are made into the applied screed zones (2, 3) across the joint (4) and substantially at an angle thereto. A connector (1) is inserted into the incisions (25, 26) and is fixated in the zone of the joint (4) with a center part thereof on a floor (20) and with anchor sections (5, 6) in the screed zones (25, 26), while the embedded anchor sections (5, 6) remain laterally and longitudinally displaceable with respect to each other. When the screed sections (25, 26) are applied to a floor (20), the connector (1) can be fixated already beforehand in the zone of a future joint (4) and at an angle thereto, and the anchor sections (5, 6) are anchored in the screed sections (2, 3) as those are applied. To this end, the connector (1) comprises a center part (8) with a device for fixating it on the floor (20). The anchor sections (5, 6) can be axially displaced against the force of a spring (7) also after they have been anchored in the floor.
