This dataset includes the Top 5 benzodiazepine prescriptions dispensed on a quarterly basis, showing the last day of the preceding quarter. Drug names presented are the generic classification. Prescription benzodiazepines are controlled substances, which slow down the central nervous system, and often used to relieve anxiety and muscle spasms, as well as reduce seizures.
