Public Managed Wilderness at Joshua Tree National Park

This web map is for use for the public viewing of the managed wilderness areas within Joshua Tree National Park. The purpose of this map is to show the park's wilderness areas in addition to general reference map information such as the park boundary, roads and trails. The areas within Joshua Tree National Park that are required to be managed as wilderness. These areas included potential wilderness, proposed wilderness, and full wilderness. NOTE: Type labeled as "Errata Additions" is full wilderness left out of the original 1976 legislation, however it was intended to include them. The problem was clarified in 1997.
