PWRO NR MCDBR overview 2025

This storymap introduces the public to the Mojave and Colorado Biosphere Region, outlining the area, climate, ecosystems, communities and challenge. Web maps include feature layers that outline the boundary of the MCDBR, population density, conservation areas, topography, temperature and rainfall. The Mojave and Colorado Biosphere Region is located in Southern California including Death Valley National Park, Mojave National Park, and Joshua Tree National Park. The boundary is current as of 2025. The MCDBR boundary is designated by UNESCO. This map is for the use of the MCDBR to introduce readers to the biosphere region. This map is currently maintained by the JOTR SIP and GIS team.
