The vegetation taxonomy dataset is used for defining taxonomic attributes from various authoritative taxonomy data sources. Taxonomic attributes are used in the vegetation components of the Wetlands Ecological Integrity and Vegetation Composition Soil Structure (Uplands) monitoring protocols. Authoritative data sources in this taxonomic product included the following: 1) United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Plants (compilation of the USDA Plants for Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Utah - date obtained 20180118. 2) Colorado Natural Heritage Program 2020 Floristic Quality Assessment (FQA) Species List - date obtained 20201230. 3) Montana Natural Heritage Program - date obtained 20171215. 4) Rocky Mountain Network Internal Taxonomy - on-going taxonomic data information. 5) Colorado Noxious Species List (https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/agconservation/noxious-weed-species - date obtained 20191217. 6) Montana Noxious Species List (http://msuinvasiveplants.org/noxioussub.html - date obtained 20191217.
