"RV Manta - FGBNMS - FGBNMS-15-07_NCRMP1_1.nc - 29.31N, 94.82W - 2015-05-31"
This cruise is to establish the FGBNMS as the final of three sentinel climate and ocean acidification monitoring sites of the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program?s National Coral Reef Monitoring Program (NCRMP) Six plots will be established for long-term monitoring of calcium carbonate budgets as well utilizing of landscape mosaicking of the reef substrate. Temperature sensors, bioerosion monitoring units (BMUS), Artificial Reef Monitoring Structures (ARMS), Calcification Acidification Units (CAUs), and subsurface temperature recorders (STRS) will be deployed. Additionally, coral cores will be collected to ascertain long-term trends in coral calcification.
