This GIS shapefile shows the locations and types of SEAfloor FLuid Expulsion Anomalies (SEAFLEAs) compiled by researchers at the US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. SEAFLEAs is a collaborative, global, open-source database of anomalies, including any feature that is indicative of past or present fluid expulsion such as: bubble plumes within the water column, seafloor mounds, pockmarks, seafloor gas hydrate, shallow gas deposits, authigenic carbonates (hardgrounds), and chemosynthetic communities.
