Simulated Load Profiles for DOE Commercial Reference Buildings (17 Years Using NSRDB Data)
This data set consists of simulated load profiles (1998-2014, 30 minute profile) for commercial customers using the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory residential prototype building models and the US Department of Energy's (DOE) commercial reference building models made for EnergyPlus simulation software (versions 8.4 and 8.5). For the data in each csv, column A represents samples every thirty minutes staring at January 1, 1998 at 00:00 and ending at December 31, 2014 at 23:30. Row 1 represents the commercial building type. The following rows represent the building load in kW.
This data makes use of modeled weather data using the Physical Solar Model (PSM) downloaded from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's National Solar Radiation Database (NSRDB) for 15 sites in the continental US (downloaded 09/11/2016).
For more information on the project, tools used, and datasets used, see the numbered references linked below. For updated data resources, see the "ResStock" (residential building stock), "ComStock" (commercial building stock), and "End-Use Load Profiles for the U.S. Building Stock" resources linked below.
