Streams Ecological Integrity (SEI) Macroinvertebrates Data for the Rocky Mountain Network (ROMN): 2007-2022 – Data Package

Published by National Park Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2026-01-16T00:00:00Z
Streams Ecological Integrity (SEI) Macroinvertebrate data package at Glacier National Park, Grant-Kohrs Ranch Historical Site, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument and Rocky Mountain National Park 2007-2022. The macroinvertebrate data package contains two datasets: 1) all macroinvertebrate data across all sites and events, 2) the site and event data for all sampling events in this study. Macroinvertebrate, or benthos, data is collected by the Rocky Mountain Network (ROMN) for long term monitoring at streams monitoring sites. Macroinvertebrate data is one monitoring component within the Streams Ecological Integrity monitoring protocol. The general objectives of SEI monitoring are to document the status and long-term trends in ecological condition of streams and rivers in a park, and to use this information to help understand why stream conditions may have changed. Resource managers may, in turn, use information from SEI monitoring to make resource management decisions within their parks.
