Students with Disabilities at Postsecondary Education Institutions, 2008-09 (PEQIS 17), is a study that is part of the Postsecondary Education Quick Information System (PEQIS) program; program data is available since 1997 at . PEQIS 17 (https://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/pubsinfo.asp?pubid=2011018) is a survey that provides information about students with disabilities at postsecondary institutions and the services, accommodations and institutional accessibility provided to these students. The study was conducted using paper surveys and non-computer-assisted telephone instruments. Postsecondary institutions were sampled for this study. The study's response rate was 91 percent. Key statistics produced from PEQIS 17 are national data about students with disabilities, the services and accommodations provided to these students, how institutions keep track of students with disabilities, institutional policies regarding disabled students, and various aspects of institutional accessibility.
