This page presents the metro reports from the combined 2005 to 2010 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) and the data tables that show results for all metro areas. The metro reports include estimates of rates substance use and mental disorders in the United States and in 33 metropolitan areas across nation. Topics covered include substance use disorder, major depressive episode, illicit drug use, marijuana use, cigarette use, binge alcohol use, and the nonmedical use of prescription-type pain relievers. Results are provided by metro area, state, and the U.S. overall.
