Synoptic monthly gridded (0.25 degree) Gulf of Mexico (T, S, u, v) dataset (January 1945 ‐ December 2014) from the NOAA/NCEI WOD Profile Data (NCEI Accession 0156423)
The synoptic monthly gridded Gulf of Mexico dataset (SMG-GM) provides 3D gridded (T, S) and absolute geostrophic velocity (u,v) fields in monthly increment from WOD profiles using the Optimal Spectral Decomposition (OSD) and the P Vector methods. The SMG-GM data has 0.25 degree horizontal resolution and 84 vertical levels from the surface to 3700 m depth, which is the same as the WOA2013 (T, S) fields.
