Temperature, salinity, nutrients, oxygen and other data profiles from CTD and bottle casts from NOAA/NMFS cruises of NOAA Ship Townsend Cromwell in the central north Pacific, 1997-2002 (NCEI Accession 0100295)

Published by NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information | National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce | Metadata Last Checked: January 29, 2026 | Last Modified: 2013-04-08T00:00:00.000+00:00
This dataset contains measurements from CTD hydrocast stations from seven cruises of NOAA Ship Townsend Cromwell in the central north Pacific from 1997 to 2002 sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Fluorescence and oxygen sensors were mounted on the CTDs. Cast depth varied between 500 to 1000 m and spacing between stations of between 15 to 30 nmi. Nutrients are available for a few cruises. Specific details of each cruise are given in the included cruise reports. Data are in several ASCII text formats and specific file organization and formats vary from cruise to cruise.
