Total Generation by Type and County: 2020
Energy Data is collected for power plants that have a
nameplate capacity of 1 MW or more. Counties without pie
symbols had no utility-scale (commercial) electric generation
installed. Distributed renewable generation (e.g. rooftop
solar) is not included. Map and data originate from the
California Energy Commission Quarterly Fuel and Energy
Reports. Data is from 2020, and is current as of February
