Traffic Collision Data from 2010 to Present

Published by data.lacity.org | City of Los Angeles | Metadata Last Checked: January 03, 2026 | Last Modified: 2026-01-02
***Notice: Transition to Modernized Traffic Collision Reporting The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has transitioned traffic collision reporting to a new Records Management System (RMS) as part of our ongoing efforts to modernize data collection. This upgrade will enhance the accuracy and detail of reported traffic-related incidents. As a result, the existing Traffic Collision Data from 2010 to Present dataset will no longer receive updates. It will remain available on the portal for historical reference only. Once the new Traffic Collision dataset is complete, it will be published on the Los Angeles Open Data Portal and refreshed on a regular schedule. Additional details will be shared as they become available. Thank you for your understanding as we work to provide more comprehensive and standardized data for the public. *** This dataset reflects traffic collision incidents in the City of Los Angeles dating back to 2010. This data is transcribed from original traffic reports that are typed on paper and therefore there may be some inaccuracies within the data. Some location fields with missing data are noted as (0°, 0°). Address fields are only provided to the nearest hundred block in order to maintain privacy. This data is as accurate as the data in the database. Please note questions or concerns in the comments.
