Traffic Signal Change and Clearance Interval Pooled Fund Study Utah SPaT Data
This dataset contains Signal Phase and Timing (SPaT) data collected from signalized intersections in Utah, from vendor PANASONIC as part of the ITS JPO's Traffic Signal Change and Clearance Interval Pooled Fund Study. Each record includes timestamped signal state information for up to eight signal groups per intersection, indicating real-time traffic signal phases (e.g., Red, Green) across different movement directions. The data supports analysis of vehicle behavior during clearance intervals and enables the synchronization of Basic Safety Message (BSM) trajectories with corresponding signal states to study driver decision-making in response to signal changes.
