Transportable time-of-flight mass spectrometry of wipe-based explosives, propellants, and post-blast debris using in-line thermal desorption and dielectric barrier discharge ionization

Published by National Institute of Standards and Technology | National Institute of Standards and Technology | Metadata Last Checked: August 02, 2025 | Last Modified: 2024-05-15 00:00:00
This data publication contains the raw, extracted, and derived (e.g., peak areas) mass spectrometry data for explosives, propellants, and post-blast debris. These samples were analyzed by wipe-based collection, thermal desorption, and in-line dielectric barrier discharge ionization coupled to a transportable time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Samples include RDX, HMX, TNT, Tetryl, PETN, and NG explosives, black powder and black powder substitutes, and post-blast debris from devices based on dynamite, black powder, and blasting emulsion explosive.
