Underwater and topside imagery, and videos collected during the Search for the Lost Whaling Fleet of the Western Arctic 2015 Expedition on R/V Ukpik in the Arctic Ocean from 2015-08-08 to 2015-08-26 (NCEI Accession 0223469)
This data set contains color underwater screen-grab images and videos obtained with an ONMS Drop Camera - GoPro Hero Silver 3+ drop-camera system, which was built specifically for this mission. The objective was to identify potential shipwreck sites from the mapping data collected, and image those sites using the side scan sonar and drop camera systems. The data set also includes various "topside" still images and videos obtained by the Mission team.
Underwater drop camera images are in .jpg format, with associated topside images also in .jpg format. All videos are in .mp4 format.
