Vegetation Taxa List for Rocky Mountain National Park Wetlands Ecological Integrity monitoring (2007-2017).

Published by National Park Service | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 25, 2026 | Last Modified: 2019-02-01T00:00:00Z
This table lists all taxa detected at long-term wetland ecological integrity monitoring sites by the NPS Rocky Mountain Network in Rocky Mountain National Park. The detections are from 337 sample events across 154 sites from 2007 to 2017. Nomenclature follows the USDA Plants Database (https://plants.sc.egov.usda.gov; accessed in 2018). This table includes species, general and family level of identifications. Where there is a one to one relationship, we include the Weber and Wittmann (2001) species name. For more complex crosswalks the complete Rocky Mountain Network Wetlands Ecological Integrity (WEI) Database - Rocky Mountain National Park 2007-2017 database must be used. Conservatism (C scores) are from Rocchio (2007a, b) as modified by the Rocky Mountain Network and range from 10 (highly conservative) to 1 (very low conservatism with a 0 applied by definition to non-native species). Invasiveness (I ranks) is from Morse et al. (2004) as modified by the Rocky Mountain Network and ranges from 0 for a species with no invasive impacts to 8 for a species with detrimental impacts to wetland communities. Nativity is from Weber and Wittmann (2001) as modified by the Rocky Mountain Network. Wetland affinity is from Tiner (2012) as modified by the Rocky Mountain Network (we reversed the scoring scale) and ranges from 5 for a taxa obligate to wetlands to 1 for a taxa adapted to upland conditions. Absolute and relative covers are first averaged across all cover values from sampled subplots in a site then across all sample events with a given taxa. NA is not assigned.
