Water Level Data in the Magothy and Jameco Aquifers, April-May 2016

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: January 27, 2026 | Last Modified: 2020-08-25T00:00:00Z
The potentiometric surface altitude was measured at 61 observation wells and 27 supply wells screened in the Magothy aquifer and the contiguous and hydraulically connected Jameco aquifer during April and May of 2016. This point shapefile consists of the locations of those sites where water levels were measured and includes potentiometric surface altitude values which are stored in the attribute table. The point shapefile was created and intended for use with geographic information system (GIS) software. The measurement locations and depth-to-water values in this digital data set are also presented in Sheet 2 of Scientific Investigations Map 3398.
