Selected depth bathythermograph (SBT) data from CAP ANAMUR, ELGAREN, and others in the Bering Sea, Coral Sea, and others from 1987-12-11 to 1988-07-11 (NCEI Accession 8800276)

This dataset includes selected depth bathythermograph (SBT) data from CAP ANAMUR, ELGAREN, MICRONESIAN COMMERCE, MICRONESIAN INDEPENDENCE, MOANA PACIFIC, POLYNESIA, and SHIN KASHU MARU in the Bering Sea, Coral Sea, North Pacific Ocean, Philippine Sea, and South Pacific Ocean from 1987-12-11 to 1988-07-11. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard Selected Depth Bathythermograph (SBT) (C125) format. The UBT (C125) format contains temperature-depth profile data obtained using expendable bathythermograph (XBT) instruments. Cruise information, position, date and time were reported for each observation. The data records are comprised of pairs of temperature-depth values. Depths are selected by the originator - usually at standard horizons or some fixed interval. Standard XBTs can obtain profiles to depths of either 450 or 760 m. Special instruments permitted measurements to be obtained to 1830 m.
