This dataset contains multiple sets of data. The cruises were conducted using many different ships. The bathythermograph (XBT) data was collected between August 9, 1990 and March 12, 1991 as part of Shipboard Environmental data Acquisition System (SEAS) III program. The data were sent from the cruise ships to the National Ocean Service, Rockville, MD via telecommunication. This data containing 658 observations is currently available in the C116 file format of NODC.
