The Master Oceanographic Observation Data Set (MOODS), maintained by the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, is the standard Navy database for oceanographic observations. Data contained in MOODS include observations of thermal and chemical properties of the water column from surface to bottom, the biota and currents in the water column, and the underlying sea floor as collected by oceanographic agencies worldwide. Arthur D. Stroud of Fleet Numerical Oceanography Center, Monterey, CA submitted one tape containing MOODS declassified data in 2 binary files. File number 2 includes a cruise set from the MAUNA KEA (FNOC Cruise # 5436, Period 28 Oct-07 to Nov 75) which was specifically created for Mr. Dick Kuhn of NODC for conversion to UBT format. The bathythermograph data is from January 1, 1988 to December 31, 1991.
