This dataset contains physical oceanography data (water temperature, salinity, and others) taken by deep CTD from research vessel KE XUE in Northern Mariana trough. The original dataset also contained geophysical survey data, including seafloor topography and magnetic fields, archived at the NOAA/NCEI Colorado (see Documentation in the landing page). The survey was aimed to understand the subduction mechanism of the west-pacific plate and its impact on the surrounding seismic and volcano activities, investigate the tectonic characteristics caused by ocean ridge subduction, and study the formation and development of back arc basins. This dataset is U.S. State Department MSR U2019-032 as part of the World Data Services for Geophysics and Oceanography. CTD data include raw data and processed data in text (CNV) format.
