The data release consists of two tab delimited text files that may be used to infer population structure (viva_structure.stru) or relationships among sampling localities (viva.phylip). Files record genetic variation on an individual (.stru) or sampling locality (.phylip) level. These files may be opened and edited in a text editor program, such as Notepad ++ (PC) or BBEdit (Mac). The .phylip file can be uploaded to phyML or SVDQuartets to generate a tree-based visualization of relationships ( http://www.atgc-montpellier.fr/phyml/ or https://paup.phylosolutions.com, repectively). The .stru file can be used in the STRUCTURE program (Falush et al. 2003) to estimate population structure.", "distribution": [{"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "accessURL": "https://doi.org/10.5066/P9V2PR9J", "description": "Landing page for access to the data", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "application/http", "title": "Digital Data"}, {"@type": "dcat:Distribution", "description": "The metadata original format", "downloadURL": "https://data.usgs.gov/datacatalog/metadata/USGS.5e6f98bfe4b01d50926611d4.xml", "format": "XML", "mediaType": "text/xml", "title": "Original Metadata"}], "identifier": "http://datainventory.doi.gov/id/dataset/USGS_5e6f98bfe4b01d50926611d4", "keyword": ["Arizona", "California", "Colorado", "Colorado Plateau", "Great Basin", "Hilaria jamesii", "Hilaria mutica", "Hilaria rigida", "Intermountain West", "Kansas", "Mojave Desert", "Nevada", "New Mexico", "North America", "Poaceae", "Texas", "USGS:5e6f98bfe4b01d50926611d4", "Utah", "Wyoming", "adaptation", "biogeography", "biota", "demographics", "demography", "ecosystem management", "ecosystem restoration", "evolution", "genetic diversity", "genetics", "hybridization", "indigenous plants", "native plant materials development", "native species", "phylogeny", "phylogeography", "population genetics", "population structure", "remediation", "restoration", "seed transfer guidelines", "seeds", "western United States"], "modified": "2020-08-27T00:00:00Z", "publisher": {"@type": "org:Organization", "name": "U.S. Geological Survey"}, "spatial": "-103.1000, 34.0000, -113.3000, 40.4000", "theme": ["geospatial"], "title": "\u2018Viva\u2019 native plant material data in support of restoration and conservation"}
